A top WWE star has taken aim at the part-time schedule of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
With the Tribal Chief set for only his fourth televised title defence in 12 months at WrestleMania 40, his World Heavyweight Championship counterpart Seth Rollins has thrown some shade his way.
When a Twitter user tagged Rollins in a critical tweet regarding his injury absences over the years, The Visionary would bring Reigns up as a point of comparison.
Rollins said:
Dawg I’ve taken less time off for injuries in the last 12 years than the other champ has taken for vacation in the last 2 years…
Since winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions in May 2023, Rollins has defended his title 11 times on WWE TV and many, many more on the company’s live event circuit.
This latest dig at Reigns comes following the pairs exchange at the WrestleMania 40 Kick-Off press event, which saw a tense confrontation involving both men as well as The Rock and Cody Rhodes.
While a tag team match pitting Rock and Reigns vs. Rhodes & Rollins has been rumoured to be a possibility as of now the only match that is official for WrestleMania 40 is Rhodes vs. Reigns II in the main event.
As for Rollins, it was announced that the winner of the men’s Elimination Chamber on February 24, will earn the right to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
