Royal Rumble ‘Pitch Black’ Match Announced

After a major challenged for the upcoming Royal Rumble was accepted, will these be the opponents facing off in a new, unique stipulation?

Recently WWE announced that there would be a Mountain Dew Pitch Black match at the upcoming Royal Rumble.

And tonight on the final SmackDown of 2022 (December 30) LA Knight and Bray Wyatt were facing off in the ring with a war of words (including Bray Wyatt saying, “You little idiot…”) before there was a dramatic interruption.

Finally the human embodiment of Uncle Howdy strolled to the ring, took off his hat, attacked Bray Wyatt with a Sister Abigail and sauntered back up the ramp.

With the presumed nature of the Pitch Black match given the tag line of ‘anything can happen,’ it seems that the unique stipulation would be the perfect fit for the continued mysteries of Bray Wyatt.

Elsewhere on tonight’s SmackDown, the return of John Cena is set for the SmackDown main event as Cena teams with former foe Kevin Owens to take on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
