WWE Royal Rumble Match Debut Entrant Seemingly Revealed

WWE Royal Rumble Match Debut Entrant Seemingly Revealed WWE

WWE’s Alpha Academy have now shared a look at a training session ahead of the upcoming Royal Rumble premium live event.

With many viewing Royal Rumble as the official starting point of the road to WrestleMania, the January 27 event will highlight names set to appear in top matches at April’s WrestleMania 40.

As there will be two Royal Rumble matches slated for Saturday’s show, 60 stars will have the opportunity to earn a championship match for WrestleMania, with just one man and one woman succeeding.

WWE has now shared a new video titled “Alpha Academy’s over-the-top Royal Rumble sparring session” on YouTube.

The video, which you can watch below, Chad Gable, Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri all practice various exercises to help prepare them for their over-the-top-rope matches.

Maxxine Dupri, who has never competed in a Rumble before, practised techniques including the ‘skin the cat’ escape spot, and staying grounded, so that she can’t be thrown out of the ring.

The video would seem indicate that Gable, Tozawa and Otis could be entrants in the men’s Rumble, and, seemingly a lot more certain, Maxxine Dupri will compete in the women’s match.

In addition to Dupri, Akira Tozawa has also never competed in a Rumble, so would also be making his Rumble match debut if he competes at this year’s event.

Chad Gable was an entrant in the 2022 and 2023 Royal Rumble matches, in addition to the 2018 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble.

Otis previously wrestled in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Rumble bouts.
