Sami Zayn has shared an emotional reflection on a moment from this week’s WWE Raw show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This week’s WWE Raw show was taped in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and featured a segment featuring Sami Zayn and the Usos following up from Sami Zayn’s accidental Helluva Kick to Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.

To kick off the segment, Sami spoke to the crowd in Riyadh, speaking in Arabic, saying “السام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته” (May God’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you).

Taking to Twitter today, Sami shared the footage of him speaking to the crowd in Riyadh, emotionally reflecting on the segment.

He said:

I have been thinking a lot about the significance of this moment. To stand in the middle of the ring and say السام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته on @WWE TV to millions of people across the world, fills me with a sense of pride that’s hard to articulate.

I don’t know how a little redheaded Syrian Muslim kid from Montreal ascended among the top of this remarkable industry, but I AM HERE. And to represent my culture and my people at this level is an astounding privilege that is not lost on me. Much love to you all for supporting me and getting me this far.
