Former WWE star Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) has publicly responded to Royal Rumble winner Bayley with an interesting tease.
While Mercedes Mone and Bayley are good friends outside of the ring, the duo fought as both allies and enemies in WWE.
The duo are recognised as the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, with Bayley and Mone winning an Elimination Chamber match for the gold in February 2019.
Replying to WWE’s post celebrating five years of this title, Bayley noted that she and Mone had been fighting for the division to get this championship for a while before they were introduced.
Sharing a photo of herself with Mone, Bayley tweeted:
And we fought for them for over 6 years. For our division and more opportunity. Grateful for my time with you
Mone shared Bayley’s post with an intriguing caption:
Wait till you see what I’m fighting for next 🤭🤭
With AEW recently announcing a ‘Big Business’ taping set to emanate from the TD Garden in Boston on March 13, it has been heavily speculated that the former Sasha Banks will make her AEW debut at this show in her hometown.
Mone is set to make a notable public appearance ahead of AEW hosting Big Business, which you can read more about right here.
Wait till you see what I’m fighting for next 🥹🤭🤭 https://t.co/k4HvsL4sw0
