UPDATE: Several more big matches for the two-week NXT Gold Rush special have been revealed – find out the lineups at this link.

Appearing on tonight’s edition of NXT (June 13) Seth Rollins responded via video to Bron Breakker’s challenge from last week.

After Bron Breakker challenged Seth Rollins to a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match to end last week’s episode, tonight a response.

Rollins appeared via video noting that he couldn’t believe he was accepting but… it was time to return to his roots.

Seth Rollins accepted Bron Breakker’s challenge and set the date for his big match at the Performance Center.

Next week (June 20) on NXT, Seth Rollins will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker.

Shawn Michaels would go on to announce on Twitter that the big appearance by the WWE World Heavyweight Champ was in fact a part of a two-week NXT TV special.

With NXT Gold Rush set to kick off next week with the main event of Rollins vs. Breakker, there would be a following week with another huge face off.

On the following week’s NXT (June 27) NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes will face the winner of tonight’s main event match between Baron Corbin and Ilja Dragunov.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE NXT, several other main roster stars appeared, utilizing their free agent status.
