Shawn Michaels Celebrates 35 Years In WWE WWE

WWE star Shawn Michaels has celebrated his 35th anniversary with the WWE and described hitting the milestone in his own words.

Taking to Twitter to share his thoughts about his long career in WWE, Shawn Michaels reflected on having been in the professional wrestling industry for over three decades.

Michaels wrote:

“35 years ago, I entered @WWE as The Heartbreak Kid and what a ride it’s been!

“Thank you to WWE for giving me an opportunity of a lifetime and to the incredible WWE Universe for your unending support!

“You’re the reason I’ve still got that sweet chin music after all these years!”

While he may not be seeing in-ring action, Michaels is still responsible for plenty of magical moments in WWE from behind the scenes.

Shawn Michaels is a beloved presence backstage in NXT, running creative and working directly with talent in a similar manner to Triple H on the main roster.

Coming up for NXT, a big two week special edition of the show called NXT Gold Rush where some of the biggest titles in all of WWE will be on the line.

Not limited to only NXT titles, there has already been a huge match announced for the first of the two episodes of NXT Gold Rush, set to take place this Tuesday June 20.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins will go to NXT on Tuesday to face a challenge for the title from NXT star Bron Breakker in a battle that is sure to be a great one.

Also, Tiffany Stratton will defend her NXT Women’s Championship in a match against number on contender Thea Hail in two weeks on the June 27 edition of NXT Gold Rush.

But first, this week Chase U will hold a pep rally on behalf of the excitable star before her big opportunity for Championship gold in two weeks.
