Shawn Michaels Reveals Current Plans For NXT Touring WWE

Shawn Michaels has revealed the current plans for the NXT brand touring.

Since the pandemic, the NXT brand has stayed within the confines of Florida. From their usual CWC home to their local Florida house show loops, the touring has not seen the previous heights of the brand.

NXT used to sell out buildings with their TakeOver events, but the upcoming Halloween Havoc will also take place at the CWC.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, Michaels was asked about the possibility of NXT selling out large buildings again.

He answered:

“At the forefront, I’m more focused on developmental and developing the young men and women that we have pass through here and getting them prepared for the main roster. In the process, if we are able to build back this brand where we can get back into those arenas and start selling them out, that’s a bonus, but I can’t say honestly that’s the goal right now. To me, I’m focused on the development of these young men and women. But I tell you, the more people we can get that have experience that can filter through our system, it’s only going to help.”

As previously reported, Shawn Michaels discussed the transition period for NXT after Triple H left due to health issues in the same interview.

The NXT brand will present the Halloween Havoc event on October 22. For the full lineup for the show, click here.
