Shinsuke Nakamura Reacts To Heel Turn On WWE Raw WWE

WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura has now addressed his actions in the closing moments of this week’s (August 7) edition of Monday Night Raw.

Nakamura pulled double duty on Monday’s show, first besting Bronson Reed in singles action, then teaming with Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins to defeat Finn Bálor, Damian Priest & NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio.

While tension was teased between former rivals Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, it was actually Nakamura who turned on his teammate, dropping Rollins with a Kinshasa during post-match celebrations.

The King of Strong Style has now taken to social media to share WWE’s video of him ambushing Rollins.

Nakamura replied with a photo of a Japanese Samurai Katana sword. You can view the post below.

Since winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions in May, Seth Rollins has pretty much only defended his gold on TV against members of the Judgment Day faction.

An exception was when The Visionary put his title on the line against Bron Breakker at the NXT Gold Rush special.

Nakamura’s attack appeared to set him up as one of the first non-Judgment Day challengers for Rollins’ gold, however as of writing, a match between the duo has not yet been announced.

Rollins most recently defended the gold at SummerSlam, defeating Finn Balor despite interference from Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley.

Nakamura actually hasn’t had a one-on-one title match since challenging for GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Title on the August 12, 2022 edition of SmackDown.
