Steel Cage Match To Open Tonight’s NXT

A rare steel cage tag team match is set to open tonight’s August 29 episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network.

Two months ago, the Creed Brothers unexpectedly lost a ‘Losers Leave NXT’ match against the Dyad.

During the time since then, the Creeds have actually been continuing to pop up in NXT, just behind masks pretending to pose as members of Joe Gacy’s Schism faction, which the Dyad are part of.

This has included costing the Dyad in matches, and helping Ivy Nile get payback on Schism’s Ava.

The Creeds finally unmasked and revealed themselves last week, setting up a steel cage match for tonight’s NXT against the Dyad.

The stipulation is that if the Creeds win, they are reinstated to NXT, and it’s been announced that the match will open tonight’s show.

Other matches on tonight’s NXT include Butch vs Charlie Dempsey in Group A of the Global Heritage Invitational tournament, and Nathan Frazer vs Joe Coffey in Group B of said tournament.

There’s also a four-way match to determine the next challenger for Tiffany Stratton’s NXT Women’s Championship between Blair Davenport, Roxanne Perez, Gigi Dolin and Kiana James.

Stratton also looks to be headed to a big match with Becky Lynch at some point soon.

Also announced for tonight are Dijak vs Eddy Thorpe, and Dana Brooke & Kelani Jordan vs Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice.
