Swerve Strickland Update After AEW Texas Death Match AEW

There has been an update on Swerve Strickland after gaining attention for his wild AEW Texas Death Match at Full Gear 2023.

To open tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the first Continental Classic match of the round robin tournament kicked off with Swerve Strickland.

Strickland, who was donning tape over his shoulder, took on Jay Lethal in a match with zero outside interference.

In the end, Strickland was able to pick up a big victory after hitting a Swerve Stomp on Lethal, picking up 3 points.

Swerve holds the first points on the board in the AEW Continental Classic with Lethal registering a zero.

Elsewhere set for tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Jay White will take on Rush in the tournament.

Also in gold league Continental Classic action tonight in the main event Jon Moxley will take on Mark Briscoe for the first time ever.
