Tay Melo has addressed her recent lack of in-ring time on AEW TV.
The former Tay Conti hasn’t had a singles match in AEW since unsuccessfully challenging for Jade Cargill’s TBS Title at Revolution in March.
Tay has actually only wrestled for AEW three times since then, with two of these bouts being tag matches with her now-husband Sammy Guevara.
Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Tay argued that Tony Khan is doing a good job at utilising the entire roster with limited TV time.
Commenting on her position in the promotion, Tay said:
“There’s one thing that Tony does really well. It’s like, trying to keep people on TV.We just have three hours on TV a week, and we have like an entire roster.
“It’s crazy – it’s not enough time, you know, but I feel Tony does a really good job trying to keep everybody there. It’s a circle – sometimes it’s going to be your time and sometimes it’s going to be someone else’s moment.”
Sammy Guevara was originally set to face Eddie Kingston at All Out on September 4, however this match has now been nixed, following a backstage altercation between the duo. Sammy recently commented on the incident, which you can read more about right here.
