ROH Women’s Champion Athena has called out Kris Statlander ahead of the AEW All In At Wembley Stadium pay-per-view event.
Statlander currently holds the TBS Championship, defeating Jade Cargill for the gold at Double or Nothing 2023 in May.
Speaking with WrestlingNews.co, Athena named Statlander as the star she wants to face at All In on August 27.
Wanting to break Statlander’s face and leave London, England with the TBS Championship, Athena said:
“That’s a match that I’ve wanted for a while.
“Even watching from home before I got signed to AEW/ROH, Statlander is that woman. She’s more than a woman.
“Someone that was my sister from another mister when I first got here. I love Kris Statlander, and I would love to break her face and steal her TBS Championship.”
Athena won her ROH Women’s Championship from Mercedes Martinez at ROH Final Battle in December 2022.
She most recently defended her gold against Willow Nightingale in the main event of Death Before Dishonor on July 21.
Statlander last put her TBS Title on the line that same night, defeating Marina Shafir on AEW Rampage.
