Paul Heyman has opened up about the future of The Bloodline since The Rock got involved in the ongoing WWE story.
The Rock sided with Roman Reigns at the WrestleMania 40 Kick Off event on February 8, 2024.
Since then, the self-proclaimed Final Boss has continued to pursue Cody Rhodes as the American Nightmare and Roman Reigns head to WrestleMania 40.
During a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, Heyman was asked about what innings The Bloodline is currently in.
Taking a swipe at the baseball reference in his reply, the soon-to-be WWE Hall of Famer, said:
“Every time I talk about innings, it gets shoved up my tuchus. Also, I’ve kind of gotten away from baseball analogies because I’ve learned in my experience that baseball is fake.
“Whatever inning that we’re in, we’re dominating that inning and it’s a game that I would suggest may go into many extra innings as well and some of that we have to give credit to the final boss, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, for adding a whole new set of layers and therefore innings to the story of The Bloodline.”
Nic Nemeth has recently suggested that The Rock is taking away from Roman Reigns, with the former Dolph Ziggler hoping that this can be corrected.
Following The Rock’s attack on Cody Rhodes in a rainy parking lot, AEW’s Dustin Rhodes reacted on Twitter.
Footage from the attack, which left Rhodes bloody, can be seen below this news story.
The Rock will team with Roman Reigns at Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 on April 6, taking on the team of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
The outcome of the match will have implications for Rhodes vs Reigns on Night 2 in their Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match.
A Bloodline win on Night 1 will see the championship match take place under “Bloodline Rules”, while a Rhodes/Rollins win will see The Bloodline barred from ringside.
