The Rock Makes Entrance With New Championship At WWE WrestleMania 40 WWE

The Rock made an entrance at tonight’s WWE WrestleMania 40 with a new championship belt ahead of his big main event tag team match.

The Rock is making his first in-ring appearance in eight years at tonight’s WrestleMania night one, Saturday April 6, 2024.

However before he teamed with Roman Reigns at the Lincoln Financial Field to take on Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in the main event, he made a big entrance.

Utilizing plenty of Hollywood bravado, The Rock made his Final Boss entrance at WrestleMania 40 including a giant brahma bull of fire.

When The Rock emerged from behind the flames, he was holding the ‘People’s Championship’ belt that he was gifted at last night’s WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

He was given the belt by Lonnie Ali, the widow of Muahammad Ali – it was Muhammad who originally passed on the People’s Champion nickname to The Rock all those years ago.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WrestleMania 40, Rhea Ripley retained her WWE Women’s World Championship in a match against Becky Lynch.

The six-pack ladder match yielded two new teams holding gold as Grayson Waller and Austin Theory won the SmackDown Tag Team titles and R-Truth and the Miz won the Raw Tag Team titles.

The team of Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Naomi beat team Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka and Kairi Sane) in Jade Cargill’s first WrestleMania appearance.

Also, Sami Zayn was able to defeat GUNTHER to win the Intercontinental Championship for the fourth time in his career and end the longest IC Title reign ever.
