Major Update On The Rock WWE Future After WrestleMania 40

The Rock made an appearance on tonight’s WWE Raw after WrestleMania 40 and issued an intriguing statement to new champ Cody Rhodes.

The Rock said that he came out to give Cody Rhodes his flowers – Cody did it. He completed his story, he faced all odds and he beat Roman Reigns in the middle of the ring, 1-2-3.

Rock went on to list all the horrible things he did to Cody but he was still able to win and complete his story. He would go on to compliment him however he did have one request.

The Rock asked to hold Cody Rhodes’ newly won championship belt.

They exchanged titles (Rock had his People’s Championship) and the Rock said that he quite liked how it felt to hold Cody’s title, in ominous Final Boss fashion.

Noting that he has to “go away for a little while” Rock said that when he comes back, he’s coming back for Cody Rhodes, whether or not he’s still champion.

Rhodes retorted that he’s looking forward to it.

The Rock would go on to remind Cody that while he may have beaten Roman Reigns on Sunday, he lost to the Rock on Saturday and their story had just begun.

The Rock said he had something to give Cody Rhodes, ‘no fireworks’ and told Cody to open his hand. He placed something in his hand and then said that Cody didn’t even need to open his hand to know what it was.
