The Rock Addresses WrestleMania 41 Status After WWE In-Ring Return WWE

The Rock has addressed his WWE future following WrestleMania 40, commenting on his status for next year’s WrestleMania 41 event.

The Final Boss wrestled his first full match in 11 years during WrestleMania 40 Saturday, when he teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the tag-team main event.

With The Rock announcing that he’ll be going away for a while on the April 8 edition of Raw, there’s some uncertainty surrounding his in-ring future.

The Rock has now uploaded a four-minute video to Instagram, answering several questions he has been asked following his WrestleMania return.

In the video, which you can watch below, The Rock noted that his sights are set on next year’s WrestleMania event.

He ended the video by saying (H/T: F4WOnline):

Congratulations to Cody Rhodes, congratulations to my cousin Roman Reigns on an incredible three-in-a-half-year run, maybe even four years, just incredible, iconic, and historic.

I’m very proud of you, uso. Also congratulations to the real MVP of the entire WrestleMania weekend, Seth Rollins. What an honor it was to share the ring with you three. What an honor it was for us to break records.

And now my sights are set on the next WrestleMania. But that’s down the road.

The Hollywood star also stated that while he’s banged up following the match, he didn’t suffer any injuries.

The Rock shared the following in the video’s caption:

Appreciate all the love and questions.

Body feels GREAT. Banged up pretty good, but no injuries. Spent this past week training + working on getting all the inflammation and lactic acid out of my body.

Had an intense but fantastic 12 week training camp leading up to WrestleMania. Set up wrestling rings in Hawaii, California and the east coast. Flew in wrestlers and coaches to work with me on my technique, timing, agility, sharpness, snap/fast twitch movements and most importantly — work on my ring psychology, conditioning & cardio.

Our match was approximately 45minutes so I needed my conditioning + cardio to be on point. Weighed in at 284lbs at bell time and still felt fairly light & athletic (and strong) going into the match.

An honor to share the ring with my fellow captains of industry – Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins. These men are 3 of pro wrestling’s greatest icons.

We shattered every WrestleMania & WWE record. Incredible. Thank you. THANK YOU ALL for the trust & love – and what a f**king ride we all just went on. ‘til we meet again, – Final Boss @wwe @tkogrp

It was previously reported that there’s currently no planned date for Rock to return for a match, but The Rock competing at WrestleMania 41 next April has been talked about.
