Following his farewell on Monday Night Raw, The Rock’s WWE writer has teased his future plans upon his return to the company.
At WWE WrestleMania 40, The Rock competed in his first official match in eight years when he and Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night 1.
However, Rhodes prevailed to win the Undisputed WWE Championship from Reigns on Night 2. This led to a confrontation between Cody and The Rock on the Raw After WrestleMania 40.
During the in-ring promo segment, The Rock revealed that he was leaving for now, but he would be back for Cody Rhodes, whether he had the Undisputed WWE Championship or not.
On April 9, former WWE writer Brian Gerwirtz, who works closely with The Rock during his original and current runs in the company, took to Twitter/X and shared a picture of “The Final Boss” from the show to tell fans not to be sad the ride was over. He wrote:
Don’t be sad the ride is over, be happy that one day, sooner or later, you will have a LOT more to cry about. #FinalBoss
A new report has revealed the planned date for the highly anticipated Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock singles match, which you can read here.
