A “title vs. career” match is set for the upcoming 1000th episode of IMPACT Wrestling’s weekly show.
At IMPACT Emergence 2023, Kenny King defeated Johnny Swinger to retain the IMPACT Digital Media Championship.
After the bout, King and his associate Sheldon Jean continued to attack Swinger before officials including Tommy Dreamer tried to break things up. This led to King attacking Dreamer.
Per PWInsider, Tommy Dreamer challenged Kenny King to an IMPACT Digital Media Championship match on IMPACT 1000 during the Emergence Fallout tapings on Monday, August 28.
To give King more incentive to accept his challenge, Dreamer said he would put his career on the line for the title match.
The taping for IMPACT 1000 will take place from White Plains, New York on Saturday, September 9.
Already announced for the taping, Team 3D will make their in-ring return and Ultimate X will take place on the show.
Awesome Kong is also set to make her in-ring return at IMPACT 1000, which you can read at this link.
