AEW President Tony Khan has admitted this week has been his “second worst” since AEW began, following the news that former AEW Champion Jon Moxley had entered an alcohol rehab program.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said:
“Tony Khan said it is the second worst week he’s had because of the stress of everything. The worst week was the week that Brodie Lee died.”
Moxley entering the program left Orange Cassidy without an opponent on last night’s AEW Dynamite, meaning Miro had to be called in as a last minute replacement in the AEW Championship eliminator tournament.
Khan revealed Moxley had entered the rehab program on Monday (November 2) after Moxley gave permission for him to do so.
Once again, we wish Jon Moxley all the best for in his rehab program , and hope to see him back in the ring when he is healthy.
