A top WWE star has undergone knee surgery following a recent attack on SmackDown.
Rey Mysterio lost the United States Championship to Logan Paul at WWE Crown Jewel after Paul hit him in the head with brass knuckles that were placed on the apron by Santos Escobar.
On the show, Rey was attacked by LWO stablemate Escobar, with Santos attacking his leg trapped in the steel steps.
Taking to his Facebook page today, Mysterio revealed that he had undergone surgery in his right knee following the attack.
He wrote:
“Knee surgery was successful —- @dugasmd1
“Now payback on @escobarwwe is on the horizon! Pagarás por los daños #Santos”
It is not known how long Mysterio will be out of action following his latest surgery.
