Surprising Top WWE Star Wants Match Against CM Punk WWE

A surprising top WWE star has said that they would want to face off against CM Punk following his return to the company.

CM Punk made his return to WWE back at Survivor Series in Chicago after almost a decade away from the company.

With Punk being away from the company for so long, a number of names on the current roster actually grew up watching him on WWE television, and have now become his co-workers.

Speaking with the BWGS Podcast, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley spoke about growing up watching WWE, and how she’d love to face off against Punk now he is back in the company should the match be possible.

She said:

“So my three favorites growing up were Triple H, which is wild because he’s my boss. The other one was The Miz. I absolutely love The Miz and the third one was CM Punk. So, I don’t know (which one of them I’d wrestle in their prime). It’s hard because they’ve all had such amazing careers and they’ve had such amazing milestones.

“For me, I feel like I still have so much to go. I feel like right now, I’m at a very good moment. My momentum’s growing and we’re just getting bigger and bigger but I feel like I still haven’t reached what they were able to reach. So it’s wild to think that I could possibly accomplish things that they accomplished.

“I would like to face Punk. Especially with the way that he did his promos and the way that he just did everything. It was always entertaining and I feel like if I were to step into a storyline with any of the three, I would learn so much and it would definitely help skyrocket Rhea Ripley to the next level sort of thing.

Punk is currently out of action with a torn triceps injury suffered in the 2024 Royal Rumble match.

Rhea is set to defend her Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40.
