IMPACT Star Comments On Saraya Using A Similar Gimmick In AEW AEW

An IMPACT Wrestling star has commented on Saraya using a similar gimmick in AEW.

At IMPACT Over Drive, Trey Miguel turned heel for the first time in IMPACT Wrestling by using green spray paint to the eyes of Black Taurus to become a two-time X-Division Champion.

After his heel turn, Miguel used the green spray paint to make his mark on his new championship title. He has used the spray paint on several occasion against rivals like Crazzy Steve since his character change in November 2022.

When Saraya and Toni Storm turned heel in All Elite Wrestling this January, the duo also began using green spray paint to brand their enemies.

Speaking with Tru Heel Heat Wrestling, Trey Miguel addressed the similarity and noted that he doesn’t hold a grudge over it, but he does wish the gimmick wasn’t being used at the same time as him. He said:

“It was weird to see, I’m not sour about it, and I’m not, anything in wrestling belongs to anybody. These are just tools to get yourself from points A to B.”

“And I just wish it wasn’t chosen to be done at the same time. Literally, I don’t have a gripe about it, but at the same time, it’s very cool to know that someone wants to do what you’re doing.”

“When I sit back and think about it, it’s like ok, that means we’re doing something right. Can’t be mad about that.”

Trey Miguel most recently defeated Lince Dorado to retain the IMPACT X-Division Championship at Sacrifice on Friday, March 24.

Miguel will now defend the title against Rich Swann, Frankie Kazarian, Kevin Knight, Clark Connors and Rocky Romero in a scramble match at IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United on Thursday, March 30.
