First Two Competitors Announced For AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament AEW

AEW has announced the return of the World Championship Eliminator tournament, with two competitors announced.

It has been confirmed that the finals for the tournament will once again take place at the Full Gear pay-per-view. The winner of the tournament will challenge for the AEW World Championship at Dynamite: Winter Is Coming on December 14.

Dante Martin and Ethan Page have now been announced for the tournament.

The 2020 AEW World Championship Eliminator tournament was won by Kenny Omega, who defeated Hangman Page in the finals at that year’s Full Gear. Omega notably went on to defeat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title.

Bryan Danielson won the 2021 iteration of the tournament, besting Miro in the tournament finals. Danielson went on to wrestle then-champion Hangman Page to a 60 minute time-limit draw.

Jon Moxley is the current AEW World Champion, notably defeating Danielson in the finals of the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions at Dynamite: Grand Slam. He will defend his gold against MJF at Full Gear on November 19.
