Unaired WWE Vignette Shares Story Of Recent Character Change WWE

With WWE SmackDown ushering in the return of Pete Dunne, there was an unseen vignette that delved into that reason why he dropped Butch.

With Pete Dunne sharing the video on Twitter with the caption ‘big chats’, there was more character development between the Bruiserweight and long-time partner, Tyler Bate.

With Tyler Bate using the opportunity to explain the history of the British Strong Style duo including having been ‘handpicked by Mr. Regal himself’, the chat was obviously enough to inspire a big change.

After speculation about the potential change since shakeups began with WWE creative control, the long championed name change back to ‘Pete Dunne’ from the moniker ‘Butch’ happened on last night’s WWE SmackDown (January 19).

There was a previous backstage segment from last week where Tyler Bate encouraged Butch to do soul seeking regarding his movement in the world, it seems that the Bruiserweight has remembered who he is.

Making his ring entrance on WWE SmackDown as Pete Dunne, it seems that Butch is finally gone as elsewhere, the Brawling Brutes have been effectively disbanded.

Ridge Holland has returned to NXT to attempt a revitalization, having picked up a win over Joe Coffey on this week’s show.

However, he was shortly thereafter attacked by Gallus and was mocked as being friendless during the attack.

Sheamus for his part was last seen in August but with the Royal Rumble coming up, who knows who might reappear!

A couple possible candidates to make surprise appearances have already been revealed.

Find out which three legendary WWE stars are reportedly planned to be in Tampa for the WWE Royal Rumble on Saturday January 27, 2024 by clicking this link.
