Update On Candice LeRae Following WWE Raw Injury Spot WWE

A match on last night’s WWE Raw (October 30) was cut to an abrupt end after the referee stepped in and stopped the match.

The scheduled match between Candice LeRae and Xia Li took place on the show, but did not last long, as Xia very quickly caught Candice with a kick to the head.

The kick knocked out LeRae, with her being declared unable to finish the match, and Xia being crowned the winner by referee stoppage.

There was some confusion among fans regarding the validity of the situation, and whether LeRae had actually been injured during the match, or if the spot was simply done to help re-establish Xia on the roster.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the angle during the match was planned, and LeRae is fine following the show.

Xia Li has been teasing a future clash with Becky Lynch following her return to television.

Xia initially issued a challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship, which will no longer happen due to Lynch losing the championship to Lyra Valkyria.

Xia has commented following last night’s match, which was her first televised match in seven months.
