Update On Jade Cargill AEW Status Amid Wrestling Hiatus

AEW President Tony Khan has now provided clarification on Jade Cargill’s current status amid her wrestling hiatus.

Cargill hasn’t wrestled since dropping the TBS Championship to Kris Statlander at AEW Double Or Nothing in May.

This marked Cargill’s first pinfall loss of her entire wrestling career.

While it was previously reported that Cargill was set to have some time off, it has been speculated that Cargill has left AEW, with the star recently stating that she’s not coming back anytime soon.

Speaking with Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Tony Khan confirmed that Cargill is still with AEW.

Commenting on her current status, Khan said:

“Well, Jade’s still with us, and Jade has been on sabbatical since her upset, I believe title loss after her unbelievable undefeated run.

“And Kris Statlander now is the TBS Champion, and she’s made some great defenses of the title, but Jade is still with us.

“And I can’t say for certain what anybody’s going to do in the future, but certainly we value Jade and everything she’s done here.”

Kris Statlander most recently defended the TBS Title against Marina Shafir on the July 21 edition of Rampage.
