The Joker in the men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament was revealed on last night’s (May 18) episode of AEW Dynamite, when the former John Morrison made his AEW debut.
Under the name ‘Johnny Elite’, Morrison was defeated by Ring of Honor Television Champion Samoa Joe in the quarter-final match to open the show.
Fans have wondered about Johnny’s AEW status, since neither he nor Maki Itoh, who was the female joker, received the ‘All Elite’ graphic after the show.
Per PWInsider, Johnny Elite is not signed to the promotion as of yet, but the door is open for future appearances down the line.
