A backstage update has been provided on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title situation heading into tonight’s Raw.
As previously reported, TMZ has reported on Monday afternoon that WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sonya Deville has suffered a torn ACL that will keep her out of action.
This has led to WWE having to deal with a situation regarding the current reign of Deville and Chelsea Green as champions on tonight’s August 7 edition of WWE Raw.
Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer took to Twitter on August 7 to address the internal belief of what will be done with the titles. He wrote:
“With Deville undergoing surgery tomorrow for a torn ACL, the WWE tonight will address the tag title situation. Belief is belts held up but official word is that it will be announced tonight.”
Tonight’s Raw will address the fallout from WWE SummerSlam 2023.
