One of the major talking points from last night’s AEW Dynamite show (November 8) took place in the ROH Television Championship match between Samoa Joe and Keith Lee.
On the show, Joe retained the title in a meat-tastic match with Lee, before he took to the mic to make a big announcement on the title’s future.
Joe announced that he would be vacating the championship following his match with Lee on the show, leaving the title in the ring.
Joe said that the only championship that he wants to go after is the AEW World Championship amid his continued pursuit of MJF following their match at AEW Grand Slam.
Joe’s reign was the longest in the history of the Television Championship, with the decision to simply end his reign by vacating it being met to mixed reactions online.
In an update on the status, ROH have announced that the future of the title will be addressed on tonight’s episode of ROH on HonorClub.
The ROH Tag Team Championship is set to be defended at AEW Full Gear, when MJF teams with a partner to face the Gunns on the Zero Hour pre-show.
