VIDEO: What Happened With Jey Uso After SummerSlam 2023 Went Off The Air WWE

Here’s what happened with Jey Uso after SummerSlam 2023 went off the air, following the shocking conclusion to the Tribal Combat main event.

In the final match of Saturday’s (August 5) show, Jey Uso challenged for Roman Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, and the title of Tribal Chief.

In the closing moments of the match, Jey Uso pinned Roman Reigns, but the pinfall was broken by a mystery man.

The hooded figure revealed themselves to be Jey’s twin brother Jimmy Uso, who superkicked Jey and threw him back into the ring, for Roman Reigns to capitalize and win the bout.

The show went off the air as many have in recent years, with Roman Reigns standing tall on the ramp.

After the cameras stopped rolling, Jey Uso got to his feet in the ring, leading the Detroit crowd to applaud Main Event Jey while he leaned on the ropes.

While some were expecting a more extravagant reaction to the betrayal, Jey just soaked in the adoration of the crowd, before making his way to the back with some of the production crew.

You can watch a clip this moment below.

It is currently unclear why Jimmy Uso turned on his brother, especially after Jey Uso left the Bloodline with him on the June 16 edition of SmackDown.

Reigns’ victory means that the Tribal Chief has now made it to 1071 days as champion.

Interestingly, the next WWE premium live event will be Payback on September 2. Reigns notably won the Universal Championship at Payback 2020.
