D-Generation X had an in-ring segment that featured fellow WWE Hall of Famers and several current stars on tonight’s Raw 30.
The DX segment was quickly interrupted by WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle who decided that he always wanted to join the group and slid in during their signature introduction.
Before the legendary faction could finish their catchphrases, SmackDown’s Ludvig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci and Intercontinental Champion Gunther of Imperium interrupted.
The stable got into the faces of DX and dared them to step up to them, which the legends decided the better of.
After some comedy and wondering if any current stars could come to their aid, Raw’s own Seth Rollins came down to the ring to join DX against Imperium.
To further even the odds, the Street Profits joined Rollins in backing up DX. Everyone looked to Triple H to make the match official, but he said, “this booking thing is tough”.
This led to another WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long to come down and make a six-man tag team match of Imperium vs. Seth Rollins and The Street Profits. To add a cherry on top, Kurt Angle revealed that he had a red, white and blue referee shirt under his DX shirt to be the special guest referee for the match.
Before the match got underway, a third Hall of Famer in Jerry “The King” Lawler joined the commentary team for the six-man tag team contest.
The bout featured the babyfaces playing up to the special guest referee with Street Profits using the ankle lock and Rollins hitting an Angle Slam during the bout.
After a fun encounter, Seth Rollins delivered the Stomp to Giovanni Vinci to score the victory for his team with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins over Imperium.
We will have further updates and breaking news from tonight’s WWE Raw 30 when they become available.
