After A Wild Match, Jeff Hardy Beats Darby Allin To Advance In Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament AEW

The main event of AEW Dynamite tonight (May 11) saw Jeff Hardy take on Darby Allin which was announced during the show to be no holds barred.

After the first match of the night saw Adam Cole advance in the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament, the main event saw Darby Allin taking on Jeff Hardy in a showcase of intense moves including copious chairs and even a giant ladder.

After a near fall saw Allin come up short, Hardy was able to quickly roll him up and get the pinfall victory to advance in the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament.

After the match, Hardy extended a handshake to Darby in a show of respect as Sting and Jeff’s brother Matt Hardy also joined them in the ring.

With the earlier match already seeing Adam Cole win, after the match the Undisputed Elite made up of Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and the Young Bucks, Nick and Matt Jackson appeared on the ramp and had a staredown with the Hardyz who were still in the ring.

Adam Cole and Jeff Hardy will face off on next week’s episode (May 18) of AEW Dynamite.

Also announced for next week’s show for the Owen Cup – Rey Fenix vs. Kyle O’Reilly, Britt Baker and Samoa Joe square off against the women’s and men’s Jokers respectively.
