Wrestling Career Of A WWE Star Could Be Over

Wrestling Career Of A WWE Star Could Be Over

In Rusev Day, Aiden English was part of the single most popular act in all of WWE. Since then, he has suffered a drastic fall from grace after a rushed heel turn on his former tag team partner. The former NXT Tag Team Champion has since transitioned into also working as a commentator on 205 Live

Whilst English might not have officially retired from wrestling, he has certainly been recently working very infrequently in recent months. Aiden appeared at the WrestleMania Axxess World’s Collide taping over WrestleMania weekend, losing to NXT star Kassius Ohno. Prior to that, English’s last match on WWE TV was a loss to his former tag team partner Rusev on Smackdown in October 2018.

However, English has now started accepting non-WWE bookings for appearances. This would mean that he must have signed an announcers contract as their wrestling contracts do not allow for non-WWE autograph appearances. This could definitely suggest that Aiden’s career as a wrestler for the mean time is certainly over.

The former Smackdown star is set to appear at the ‘Legends Of The Ring’ fanfest on June 1st in New Jersey. Also scheduled for the event are former WWE stars Hideo Itami and Tye Dillinger, now going by KENTA and Shawn Spears respectively.

Neither Aiden English or WWE have confirmed this officially. WrestleTalk will bring you more information if and when it becomes available.
