A wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer is in Pittsburgh ahead of tonight’s (September 2) WWE Payback premium live event.
Yesterday, it was reported that WWE Hall of Famer the Great Muta was in Pittsburgh ahead of tonight’s show.
This had led to speculation that Muta could be backstage at Payback, which is set to take place in Pittsburgh tonight.
In an update from Dave Meltzer, Muta is in fact still in Pittsburgh tonight ahead of the show.
Obviously this doesn’t confirm whether or not Muta will have any presence on the show, but it has led to speculation that he may do something with Shinsuke Nakamura, who is set to main event the show against Seth Rollins.
Nakamura faced off against Muta during Muta’s retirement tour back on January 1.
John Cena is set to host tonight’s WWE Payback event, with talk of him potentially also showing up at Fastlane next month.
