WWE Games has now announced when servers for WWE 2K22 will be discontinued, revealing that online modes will be unavailable from early 2024.
The WWE 2K Twitter account has shared a statement revealing that WWE 2K22 servers will no longer be supported from January 3, 2024.
The announcement reads:
Attention WWE 2K community: WWE 2K22 servers will be discontinued as of January 3rd, 2024.
All online modes & functions, including online matches & community Creations, will no longer be available.
Now is the perfect time to upgrade to #WWE2K23 Thank you for all the support!
WWE 2K22 was released in March 2022, and was the first game in the WWE 2K line since 2019’s WWE 2K20.
Since then, WWE 2K23 has been released, with the most recent game in the franchise hitting shelves in March 2023.
A WWE Hall of Famer recently spoke about his inclusion in WWE 2K22, noting that he received a ‘nice check’ from the special edition of the game.
