The real reason why New Jack was announced for a WWE 2K25 DLC pack has been revealed, with a top name pushing for his inclusion in the game.
The former ECW star was announced as part of the Fearless DLC pack, which will be added to the game in July 2025.
Speaking with PWInsider, WWE 2K video game producer Bryan Williams revealed that New Jack was added to the lineup following WWE President Nick Khan pushing for his inclusion.
Noting that Nick Khan was a ‘big fan’ of New Jack, Williams said:
“New Jack was a shock to all of us on the Visual Concepts and marketing side. New Jack was someone who I never expected would make it into our franchise.
“It’s funny because it was actually Nick Khan who recommended or suggested that we add New Jack as DLC. When I heard that information from my marketing rep I was like, ‘Really?’ They were like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s a big fan.’ I believe he’s working on the paperwork to make this thing a reality. That was a huge surprise.
“Talk about a curveball, that thing came out of not left field, that came out of a different game altogether. So I’m really excited to have New Jack be a part of the game this year and we have some really cool things planned for New Jack.”
New Jack passed away in May 2021, at the age of 58.
Other stars set to be included in the Fearless Pack include Jordynne Grace, Penta, Bull Nakano and another celebrity guest to be announced.
