WWE Attempting To Secure Mike Tyson For SummerSlam

A report has revealed WWE is attempting to bring in legendary boxer and Hall of Famer Mike Tyson for the SummerSlam opening video package.

As per PWInsider, WWE wanted Tyson to provide voiceover for the opening video for Saturday’s pay-per-view, reportedly focusing on the upcoming Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and John Cena.

The report noted that WWE’s attempts to secure Tyson for the event have been unsuccessful. Tyson’s last wrestling appearance was for AEW in April, when he was made an honorary member of the Inner Circle.

WWE recently announced that DJ Valentino Khan would be performing at the Biggest Party of the Summer. It had previously been reported that WWE was interested in featuring Cardi B at the event, however it is unlikely she will appear come August 21, as she is expected to give birth next month.

Following concerns that Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks would miss SummerSlam, another report has provided updates on their WWE statuses.
