WWE has announced the return of a brutal stipulation for an upcoming NXT UK match.
On this week’s edition of NXT UK, Assistant General Manager Sid Scala revealed that Eddie Dennis will face off against Wild Boar in a dog collar match. During the two stars’ feud so far, Dennis has been avoiding Boar, running away.
A date for the clash has yet to be announced, but the match was taped during the April 21 set of NXT UK tapings at the BT Sport Studio in London.
A dog collar match hasn’t taken place in WWE in almost 25 years, since Vader did battle with the British Bulldog on the November 3, 1997 edition of WWE Raw. Other promotions have had their own dog collar matches more recently, with CM Punk notably defeating MJF in one at AEW Revolution in March.
A ‘Loser Leaves NXT UK‘ stipulation has also been added to an upcoming NXT UK Title match between Ilja Dragunov and Jordan Devlin, indicating that one star will be leaving the brand for good very soon.
