Popular WWE Star Opens Up About ‘Very Low Points’ In His Career WWE

Chad Gable has opened up about is WWE career, revealing his frustrations, current feelings and his transition from NXT to the main roster.

Gable signed with WWE in 2013 following a successful amateur wrestling career that took him to the Olympic Games in 2012.

A former NXT Tag Team Champion (with Jason Jordan), SmackDown Tag Team Champion (with Jordan again), and two-time Raw Tag Team Champion (with Bobby Roode and Otis), Gable has had a mixed career in WWE, spending some time as “Shorty G” before teaming with Otis to form Alpha Academy.

Speaking to Sam Roberts on Busted Open Radio, Gable addressed his past mindset in WWE, saying:

“Man, I hit some very very low, deep low points where I’m almost questioning if this is for me.

“It isn’t until you come out the other side of that and you get these like peaks then on the other side with guys like him [Otis] and we have our moments and these little runs where you’re like, ‘No, I am meant for this and like it’s working, and they do connect with us.'”

Gable would also discuss his time in NXT and how he feels that drew attention towards him when it came to the main roster, stating:

“If anybody had access to like the original promos that I was doing in NXT in like 2013-14, very early on.

“It was just that goofy cr*p because I was like, ‘Man, I got nothing else. I’m just gonna do this stuff.’ And it kind of worked.

“I’ll admit that fully, is when I got to the main roster I think I just started taking myself too seriously and thinking ‘Oh, this is another level. I gotta be Mr. serious professional wrestler here.'”

Gable’s former tag partner, Jason Jordan, produced the recent WWE Raw match which saw the Alpha Academy member beat GUNTHER.

The match was won by count out resulting in GUNTHER retaining the WWE Intercontinental Champion but suffering his first loss since joining the main roster in April 2022.

Highlights from the match can be seen below this news story.
