WWE Star Spent ‘Copious Amounts’ Of Money On New Gimmick WWE

A WWE star has commented on spending “copious amount” of money on his new gimmick, but it’s started to pay off.

A new article by The Athletic looks at some of the athletes from other sports than have recently transitioned into becoming WWE trainees and NXT stars, with one of those being Luca Crusifino, real name Roman Macek.

Crusifino has devised a lawyer gimmick for himself – stemming from him being a legitimate law student – which started out on NXT Level Up and recently made its way to NXT TV.

Recalling his journey, the article includes the following:

Macek began to figure out the athletic part of things. The character side was another journey. He pitched a lawyer character, a classic wrestling villain, but he wasn’t sure what to do with it.

At his character’s first appearance in December, he wore normal wrestling tights and boots. It didn’t click.

When he came back in January, he’d spent “copious amounts” on suits, bought a website domain, 2,500 business cards, yard signs and notebooks on his own.

The next time he went out, he felt something. He cried after his first TV appearance, joy for finding his way and for the supportive coaches around him.

The website domain is CrusifinoLaw.com, which features a number of pretty hilarious NXT easter eggs.

Crusifino is still most regularly featured on NXT Level Up as he continues to develop, but has picked up a three-match winning streak with victories against Dante Chen, Myles Borne and Tavion Heights.

The Athletic’s article confirmed that there’s a tryout coming up in late July for some of the company’s current NIL athletes, including the Cavinder twins who have already appeared on NXT TV.

Tank Ledger was also spotlighted, which you can read about at this link.
