WWE Star Says He’s Been ‘Disrespected For Six Years’ WWE

A WWE star has spoken of being disrespected for the last six years in the company, following a tense exchange on this week’s NXT (August 1).

Mustafa Ali, who made the move to NXT from WWE’s main roster in late May, was set on confronting North American Champion Dominik Mysterio, after ‘Dirty’ Dom defeated both Ali and Wes Lee at the Great American Bash on July 30.

However, Ali was never pinned in the match, leaving him desiring a rematch against Dom, although Ali was beaten in the queue by Axiom, who also looked to get the champion’s attention.

Ali, irate by his recent loss jumped in front of Axiom to speak to Dom, although this ‘disrespect’ from Ali was not something Axiom seemed thrilled with as the two exchanged words.

Axion spoke of being disrespected by Ali, which led Ali to bite back saying “try being disrespected for six years”.

This backstage exchange was then later shared by Ali on Twitter, with a caption citing that same quote.

Ali has often been vocal of his misuse over much of his WWE career, even leading him to request his release from the company in early 2022.

This was of course not granted and he returned to TV in April that year, featuring fairly prominently on TV but still not really being pushed.

The move to NXT has been seen as a positive one for Ali’s career by fans, however he has thus far still not managed to capture his first championship.

You can view the entire exchange in the video below.

The exchange seemed to potentially set up an Axiom vs Ali match, while Dominik’s next challenger in reality will be Dragon Lee next week, who’ll have Dominik’s own father Rey Mysterio in his corner.
