WWE star Tommaso Ciampa has celebrated the anniversary of DIY with a renewed plea to find his tag team partner on social media.
Although they had been a tag team before, Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were christened DIY at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II on August 20, 2016.
Ciampa has reflected on this anniversary on Twitter, writing:
“Exactly 7 years ago #DIY was born. I would have never guessed the journey would have led us here.
“I see and appreciate you all. Continue to make flyers. Continue to search.
“Johnny may not see this but I’m sure he feels the love.
“The search continues tomorrow…
“#FindJohnnyG”
The pair would become NXT Tag Team Champions and Gargano would be the first NXT Triple Crown Champion.
Earlier this month, Chelsea Green encouraged Ciampa to find the absent Johnny Gargano, leading to the his poster campaign.
Ciampa recently said he will be in Quebec for tonight’s WWE Raw, once again, hoping to find Gargano.
Gargano returned to WWE in September 2022 and has not wrestled on screen since NXT Stand & Deliver in April.
Ciampa returned from injury in June, resulting in fans hoping for the DIY reunion, which, by the looks of it, is finally happening.
