WWE star Sami Zayn has emotionally reacted to his loss to Randy Orton on Friday’s (February 9) edition of SmackDown.
Zayn and Orton faced off in an Elimination Chamber qualifier, with the winner advancing to the upcoming Elimination Chamber match.
Orton ultimately defeated Zayn to secure his place in the February 24 match, which will determine the challenger for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship.
WWE has now shared a video of Sami Zayn walking backstage following his match.
When asked about his loss, Zayn simply said:
“Not much to say, man. No shame in losing to Randy Orton, but it’s a tough one.”
Zayn’s reaction to his loss appears to be part of his ongoing storyline, with the former WWE Tag Team Champion addressing his recent losses in an interview segment on Raw.
Drew McIntyre also qualified for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match during SmackDown, defeating AJ Styles to advance.
After the show went off the air, Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER competed in a dark match.
Following this match, GUNTHER was attacked by a surprising WWE star, which you can read more about right here.
