A WWE feud continues after NXT star Lexis King kicked off a war with Von Wagner and Robert Stone for insulting the latter’s children.
Tonight’s February 20 (taped February 13) WWE NXT kicked off with a championship match as Oba Femi looked to defend his North American title against Lexis King.
During the match, Von Wagner and Robert Stone were shown backstage as Stone continued to be irritated with King after he insulted Stone’s children last week.
Coming out to ringside, still fuming, Stone ended up getting shoved down by Lexis King who was then caught up by Oba Femi’s offense upon returning to the ring.
In the end, Femi would go on to win the match after the distraction and retain his WWE NXT North American Championship.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE NXT, as announced by NXT GM Ava, there will be a match to determine who gets the next shot at the NXT Tag Team Title.
With new champions Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin looking for challengers, they were met by both Chase U (Andre Chase and Duke Hudson) and Axiom & Nathan Frazer.
While Corbin attempted to rebuff the challengers, the crew were then met by NXT GM Ava who made a number one contender’s match tonight on the show.
