WWE ‘First Ever’ Championship Match Announced

A ‘first ever’ defense will happen next week for a WWE Championship that you may have not even heard of! Find out what it is here.

For next week’s NXT on June 13, several big match ups were already announced for some of the brand’s top stars.

After their back and forth tonight on NXT, Baron Corbin will be taking on Ilja Dragunov.

For the first time on stateside NXT TV on the USA Network, the Heritage Cup will be on the line as Noam Dar with his newly named faction Meta-Four are putting the Cup on the line.

On his in-show news segment, ‘Hard Hitting Home Truths with Nathan Frazer’, Frazer not only took a shot at Noam Dar, but he brought out guest Dragon Lee to share a hilarious list of faux faction names.

Next week, all the jokes will be put aside as there is an actual match that has resulted from these harsh words.

In a Heritage Cup Championship match, Noam Dar puts his cup on the line against Nathan Frazer.

Dar did retain the title over Dragon Lee at NXT Battleground which is where the Meta-Four (also consisting of Oro Mensah, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) formed to help him, but that aired on Peacock, while next week will be the first time the Heritage Cup is defended on US cable television.

Finally for next week’s show, Main Roster free agent Mustafa Ali, NXT North American Champion Wes Lee & Tyler Bate will form a super trio of positivity to take on some very dark characters.

The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, & Jagger Reid) hope to take away the power of positivity of the trio, avenging their perceived slights by the former.

Tonight’s NXT saw a top star issue a massive challenge to Seth Rollins and a new number one contender to Tiffany Stratton’s WWE NXT Women’s Championship was determined via Battle Royal.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE NXT, several top NXT opponents were teased for Baron Corbin as he continued making enemies at the Performance Center.

And The Rock’s daughter, Ava, made her television in-ring debut in a mixed match alongside her faction mates from Schism, the Dyad. You can click here to read all about the USA Network debut. 

Also, a WWE Raw star joined the NXT Women’s Battle Royal and a new faction revealed their name as a group.
