A former WWE star has released a new music video for their latest song, six months on from her departure from the company.
Former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin – real name Samantha Johnson – shared her video for her new song “Shawty Wanna.”

Malaena Eagle is listed as the director of the music video, which features choreography also from Eagle.

Samantha’s singing career predates her wrestling announcing run, with Johnson performing as the lead female vocalist for the “Thriller – Live” Michael Jackson tribute show from 2011 to 2015. She notably made it to the semi-finals of the 2015 season of America’s Got Talent.
Johnson was hired by WWE as a ring announcer in April 2021 following an in-ring tryout, after being introduced to the company by Mark Henry.
During her stint with the company, she introduced WWE stars on 205 Live, NXT, Raw, SmackDown and PLEs, before departing the company in 2024.
Samantha Johnson is notably married to AEW star Ricochet.
She recently reacted to being referenced on Dynamite, which you can read more about right here.
