New WWE Signee Delaying Start Due To Recent Firing WWE

STARDOM’s Giulia is delaying her start with WWE due to her loyalty to Rossy Ogawa’s firing by Bushiroad on February 4, 2024.

As recently reported, in the press release citing the termination, STARDOM and Bushiroad noted Ogawa’s alleged poaching of talent and staff as the reason why he was being let go.

As noted in the report above, Ogawa is also planning to set up a new wrestling promotion following his exit from STARDOM.

There has been ongoing coverage of Giulia’s future following her STARDOM contract expiring in March 2024, with it seeming likely she’ll head to WWE.

That start could now be delayed following Ogawa’s exit, with Dave Meltzer discussing this on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:

“When Rossy was going to start (his new promotion), Giulia was very loyal to him and she was on board.

“And the reason that she is delaying her WWE start is so she could at least be there to kick off the promotion for a while and get the promotion going, and then she is going to end up in WWE at some point.

“But when WWE was interested in her, she basically gave her word she would help when he started out, and that’s what she’s gonna do.

“She’s actually postponing her WWE debut because she’d given her word.”

Giulia is the current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion and has held multiple titles in STARDOM.

In August 2023, she made her first appearance in the United States for IMPACT Wrestling & NJPW’s Multiverse United 2.

On the August 20 show, she defended the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship against Momo Kohgo, Gisele Shaw and Deonna Purrazzo.
