WWE’s Dante Chen has celebrated a historic moment in TNA Wrestling after making his debut on the August 8 episode of Impact.
Chen competed in the Ultimate X Qualifying three-way match that also featured Zachary Wentz and KC Navarro.
The episode was recorded on August 2 with Wentz going on to win the match, progressing to the Ultimate X match at TNA Emergence on August 30.
Although he may not have been victorious in the match, Chen was full of positivity as he reflected on the match afterwards – particularly the fact his debut made TNA history as he became the first Singapore-born star to compete in the iMPACT Zone.
It was made even more poignant as August marks the 59th anniversary of Singapore’s independence, with Chen tweeting:
“Total Nonstop Act-CHEN! 💥
“It was the first time Singapore was represented in the iMPACT Zone. My gift to my home’s 59th National Day.”
WWE NXT will be represented in the Ultimate X match at TNA Emergence with Riley Osborne moving forward in a qualifier also taped on August 2.
