A WWE Hall of Famer has heaped praise on a top WWE star, calling them ‘one of the great characters’ of the modern generation.
Rhea Ripley has reigned as the Women’s World Champion in WWE since WrestleMania 39, when she defeated Charlotte Flair to capture the then-SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Since then, Rhea has been a key figure on WWE television alongside her stablemates in the Judgment Day, and one WWE Hall of Famer has heaped his praise onto Mami.
Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Foley recalled a recent segment with Rhea and Nia Jax, with the crowd being firmly on the side of Rhea.
Foley went on to recall always being high on Ripley, calling her one of the modern generation’s ‘great characters’.
He said:
“I was just tuning in to a pull-apart with Nia Jax and Rhea Ripley and I heard 15,000 people chanting, ‘Mami!’. I was like, ‘Now I remember why I love this stuff.’ It’s just great.
“I’ve been a real big proponent. As high as I had hoped for her, I could’ve never seen this coming. This is one of the great characters of the modern generation.”
Foley sent in a hilarious ‘video resume’ to join the Judgment Day back in March, which he attributed to his love for the group, saying:
“I just love it. They bring me happiness.”
